How do I pair the MedGemak app?

Step 1: Make sure your device is supported by the latest Software Update.

Step 2: Download the MedGemak app from the App Store or the Google Play Store and/or update the MedGemak app to the latest version from the App Store or the Google Play Store.

Step 3: Open the app and choose 'Link app with MijnGezondheid.net', choose 'Continue', then choose 'Accept terms and conditions', when you agree to the terms of use. We recommend that you retrieve the activation code automatically by choosing 'Retrieve activation code on MijnGezondheid.net'.

Step 4: Log in with DigiD to retrieve the activation code and automatically save it in MedGemak.

Step 5: Enter your date of birth for verification and click 'Link App'.

Your account is now linked and you can start using the MedGemak app!

I get a message that the date of birth and activation code do not match when registering the MedGemak app. What is the best thing to do?

If you get the notification that the combination of your date of birth and activation code is not correct when linking the app, please perform the following.

Step 1: Try linking the app with a new activation code from MijnGezondheid.net (MGn). You may also want to ask for an activation code from your GP. The activation code from your GP is also valid for only 5 minutes.

Step 2: Check your internet connection. The error message may be caused by the app not being able to connect. Switching to 4G offers a possible solution. After connecting, you can reset your settings.

Step 3: It is important that your phone's operating system is up-to-date. So make sure your phone has the latest version.

Step 4: Make sure you are using the latest version of MedGemak. You can find this in the Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iOS devices.

Step 5: If the previous steps do not help, we would like to receive more information so that we can investigate this problem further. This could include: what error message are you getting, which device are you using, what version of operating system is on your device, when did you try to pair the app, etc. Ask our chatbot for a report form and leave the necessary information here!
